Yayasan Bank Rakyat clinches ISO9001:2015 certification

Friday 8 November 2019
KUALA LUMPUR — Yayasan Bank Rakyat, a leading financial education assistance provider in the country, has announced it has clinched the ISO9001:2015 certification. The process for certification took the foundation more than six months. It began with the design and implementation of its quality management system.

In a statement issued today, General Manager Norashikin Shaharudin said, “Yayasan Bank Rakyat is delighted to have been awarded this certification. This underscores our continued commitment to providing our customers and stakeholders with the highest standard of Quality in a not-for-profit organization. In commemorating our 12th anniversary, this is a momentous feat for all of us, and we are indeed honoured and humbled.”

This globally recognized certification in quality management system standards is in full support of Yayasan Bank Rakyat’s commitment in creating and maintaining quality processes that ensure consistency, visibility and accountability across its operations. The independent adjudication was conducted by certification body SIRIM Qas International Sdn Bhd.

ISO, one of the most rigorous and well-regarded standards in the world, refers to International Organization for Standardization. It is an independent organization that provides standards in terms of quality, safety, and efficiency of products and services provided by businesses.

ISO9001 certified would mean an organization has met the requirements in the ISO9001 Quality Management System focused on achieving customer expectations and delivering the best in customer satisfaction.

Gaining ISO9001:2015 certification reinforces Yayasan Bank Rakyat’s relentless focus on quality products and services, measured against global benchmarks of industry excellence.

“Yayasan Bank Rakyat has demonstrated its commitment to world-class quality management by implementing and becoming certified to the ISO9001:2015 standard. We have joined an elite number of organizations nationwide who have achieved certification in this globally recognized quality standard,” added Norashikin.
